North Studio Drop In Pottery

Drop In Times

Dates: Sep. 4 - Dec. 2

Mondays 3-9:30 pm

Wednesdays 12-9 pm

Saturdays 10 am-5 pm

Welcome to our drop-in open pottery sessions—and welcome back if you were with us before!

 

We’re excited to offer a space for everyone to learn and grow as artists, with the chance to perfect your craft.

3 month Full Drop In Participant: $200+tx

This includes:

  • A locker

  • 1 board to work on

  • 1 drying rack shelf

  • Your pieces fired in the kiln

3 month Casual Participant: $100+tx

This includes:

  • 10 punch pass

  • 1 board to work on

  • 1 drying rack shelf

  • Your pieces fired in the kiln

*This does not include a locker but there is space in the studio assistant’s room to dry items and leave a small amount of supplies.

Guest pass: $15+tax at the box office.

Clay Play

Dates: Wednesday Evenings 6-9 PM

Sept. 11, 18, 25

Oct. 2, 9, 16, 30

​Clay Play is an introductory handbuilding pottery workshop: a hands-on class designed for beginners interested in learning the basics of working with clay. This seven session workshop on Wednesday evenings

(6 building sessions, 1 glazing session) offers participants a chance to explore the fundamental techniques of pottery in a supportive and creative environment, leaving participants with newfound skills, confidence, and their own handmade ceramics.

Specialized Pottery
Techniques Workshop

The specialized pottery techniques workshop is an intensive hands-on event designed for experienced ceramic artists looking to deepen their skills and explore new methods through Handbuilding.

Over the course of three days, renowned Moose Jaw artist Wendy Parsons will teach participants the techniques of darting and making lidded pots.


$200+taxes per participant includes:
Building sessions:
Sept. 20th (Friday) - 6-10 pm
Sept. 21st  (Saturday) - 12-4 pm
Glazing session:
Oct. 5th (Saturday) - 12-2 pm



All clay and glazes are included in the registration fee.

Please bring a pencil, ruler, pair of scissors, old toothbrush, sponge, small container and a pin tool.


Join us in a fun and collaborative community environment to learn something new, meet other potters, and gain new skills led by an esteemed ceramic artist.

Are you a talented artisan, crafter, or maker?

 

We are thrilled to announce that applications are now open for the Christmas in October Makers Market, scheduled for October 25 & 26, 2024 at the Moose Jaw Cultural Centre.

 

This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your unique creations to shoppers looking for handmade, one-of-a-kind items during the Christmas in October

shopping event in Moose Jaw.

 

Event Details:

  • Date: October 25 & 26, 2024

  • Time: Oct 25 (5-9 pm) & Oct. 26 (12-4:30 pm)

  • Location: Moose Jaw Cultural Centre,
    210 Main Street N., Moose Jaw

 

Who Should Apply?

We are seeking makers and artisans who specialize in handmade, original products -

if you create something unique and crafted with love, we want you to be part of our market.

 

Application Process:

  1. Submit Your Application: Complete the online application form by September 9, 2024.

  2. Product Photos: Please include a couple of high-quality images of your products with your application.

  3. Fees:  No table fee, commission of 30% on items sold

  4. Notification to accepted vendors:  Sept. 11, 2024

Moose Jaw Community Players

A Theatre Workshop

The Moose Jaw Community Players, in partnership with the Moose Jaw Cultural Centre, present: A Theatre Workshop! 

 

This Theatre Workshop takes place September 21 & 22 (10AM - 4PM with snacks included)

at the Moose Jaw Cultural Centre

 

This workshop is designed to help develop skills in three areas of theatre productions- directing, acting and stage management. Over the course of two days, this workshop gives hands-on experience as all three aspects of theatre work together to create a final production. Participants will leave the weekend with a tool kit filled with tips and tricks to help improve their productions. 

 

Workshop cost:

Students (High School and University) $50, Adults $65

 

Stage Management participants are asked to bring a writing utensil and binder with them. 

​

Directing and acting participants are asked to bring a writing utensil and notebook with them.
