Rocky Mountain High: Celebrating the Music of John Denver
Not a "dress up like John" show, but rather a production that stays true to the original arrangements as first created by Lee Holdridge, John’s arranger, and conductor.
Time & Location
Oct 10, 2023, 7:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
Mae Wilson Theatre, Moose Jaw, SK S6H 0W1, Canada
About the event
An outstanding production created by Canadian recording artist and producer Rick Worrall, and John’s long-time friend, arranger and conductor, Mr. Lee Holdridge, this production honours the incredible legacy of songs that John left us.
Join Rick and his brother Steve Worrall, also a Canadian recording artist who toured with the likes of Amy Sky, Tom Cochrane and more, and an all-star band that include some of the best musicians the country has to offer. Plus, an ensemble of players from symphonies across Canada to round out the experience.
Here’s what the critics say….
“For the Love of John Denver….Amazing!!” ~ Calgary Herald
“An absolute must see!” ~ Martin Kull, GM Centennial Concert Hall Winnipeg
“Rocky Mountain High is a spectacular evening of great music…Every tribute show should be like this one!!!” ~ The Daily Courier
Sing along to your favourite hits including “Rocky Mountain High”, “Sunshine on My Shoulders”, “Thank God I’m a Country Boy” and of course, “Take Me Home Country Roads”.
A great show for all ages…isn’t it time your kids and grandkids learned what “FAR OUT!” was all about?
