Join us as we tip our hats to James Cameron, a Canadian filmmaker known for his expansive vision and innovative special-effects films.
We will be playing 3 of his iconic films on our recently upgraded projector system over the course of 3 days!
Thursday Jan. 11th - The Abyss: The utterly gorgeous special effects frequently overshadow the fact that The Abyss is also a totally gripping, claustrophobic thriller, complete with an interesting crew of characters.
Friday Jan. 12th - Titanic: James Cameron's "Titanic" is an epic, action-packed romance set against the ill-fated maiden voyage of the R.M.S. Titanic; the pride and joy of the White Star Line and, at the time, the largest moving object ever built.
Saturday Jan. 13th - Avatar: It might be more impressive on a technical level than as a piece of storytelling, but Avatar reaffirms James Cameron's singular gift for imaginative, absorbing filmmaking.
